We are seeking an Oracle Developer to design, develop, test, improve and maintain the Oracle database used for Erste Group's Statutory Reporting. This department develops and maintains systems for Erste Group in which IT-solutions and support to business units are fulfilling legal reports of various tenants.
By working closely with Business Analysts and Business Experts, you will seamlessly write code which translates requirements into reliable, responsible applications. Our mindset is agile and so is our approach, which provides you with autonomy to make the decisions you need to create the best results for stakeholders.

A day in your new role

• Develop clean code and improve the PL/SQL ORACLE backend


• Work together with Business Analysts in developing new features and fixing issues


• Write some code which runs without any human interference and integrate them into workflow applications


• Spend some time explaining database basics and coded procedures in a normal human language


• Write clean code in accordance with general coding principles


• Document your work including all details in tools used for scrum sprints (JIRA)

You’ve built your career around

• Hands-on development in SQL, PL/SQL, ODI, MS SQL is second nature to you, and with Oracle more than 3 years in Backend implementations


• Lots of user stories on Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning


• Active interest in both technical and business side of an application


• Experience with Deployment tools and processes and workflow management


• An empathy for team dynamics and communication, while being fluent in English
