Your job as control Software Design Engineer C++

As a Software Design Engineer you will develop, implement and test the best solutions in a highly complex and often multidisciplinary environment. You will be involved in the entire process, ranging from the definition of requirements with the customer to the delivery. A model driven approach is often used in the development process. Therefore you will need to design and implement from a more abstract level.

You will be working on the design of a (real-time) subsystem, module or component and the implementation of the chosen solution. Testing (on the machine), problem solving of issues within complex and large codebases and reversed engineering can also be part of your job. Within the multidisciplinary team you represent the software discipline. This requires you to take lead and make the right technical choices.

C++ is often used as programming language but also C, Python and C# are common. As Software Design Engineer you will have plenty of opportunities to make an impact and add value. As a Software Design Engineer C++ at TOPIC

• you have a relevant Bachelor’s or Masters degree such as (applied) Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics and/or Mathematics;


• you have at least 5 years of experience in design and implementation of (real-time) control software using C++ and preferably other programming languages such a Python, C or C#;


• you are familiar with methodologies and techniques as Model Driven Development, DSL, UML, Design Patterns, TDD/BDD and Agile;


• You have an excellent command of English (both oral and written); knowledge of the Dutch language would be a big plus.

Our job structure model consists of several seniority levels ranging from Programmer to System Architect. Your position in the salary scale will be conform your previous experience and expertise. For this position we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer or Software Designer. The annual all-in benefit package will be between €50.000 and €65.000.

Additionally, you will also receive an insurance package, a good pension scheme and a yearly study budgetincluding paid training days. We offer a home office support package and TOPIC has a relocation assistance program in place for new employees.
