(Minneapolis, MN)","content":"<p><strong>Our Opportunity:</strong></p><br /><p>Chewy is looking for Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET.) In this role, you will help build the automated test infrastructure for one of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms!</p><br /><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll do:</strong></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Design test automation framework in one of a variety of software domains: web-based e-commerce, warehouse management and supply chain systems.</li><br /><li>Understand existing code flow and its integration with various components and interfaces</li><br /><li>Design and implement tools to build, maintain and operate test automation frameworks with goal to simplify test development, performance testing</li><br /><li>Implement programmatic tests at varying scope (unit, component integration, system integration, performance, build different test scenarios and acceptance tests)</li><br /><li>Build test infrastructure to fit into the existing CI/CD platform</li><br /><li>Assess and evaluate new tools and testing methodologies</li><br /><li>Provided peer feedback in design and code reviews</li><br /><li>Collaborate with development and development teams to resolve any level issues for the system</li><br /><li>Review existing manual test cases to maximize potential for automated test execution</li><br /></ul><br /><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll need</strong></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience</li><br /><li>7-12 years as a Quality Automation Engineer or Software Engineer</li><br /><li>Solid programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages such as Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Python, or C# (most of our development is in Java, with some other JVM languages)</li><br /><li>Experience with J-Unit/X-Unit unit test frameworks or other integration test frameworks (open source or commercial)</li><br /><li>Understanding of TDD, BDD, and data-driven test practices</li><br /><li>Familiarity with various test types and techniques including performance, scalability, security/pentest, and fuzzing</li><br /><li>For those interested in UI test automation, experience with Selenium and/or Appium</li><br /></ul><br /><p><strong>Bonus:</strong></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Knowledge of Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)</li><br /><li>Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)</li><br /><li>Familiarity with performance, scalability or security/pentest</li><br /><li>Familiarity with in-memory data store (e.g. Redis), RDBS and SQL</li><br /><li>Knowledge of VM test environments and/or cloud-based compute environments</li><br /></ul>","applyUrl":"https://stackoverflow.com/jobs/apply/545545?ra=2WXrUj3a8NqM&oqs=a%3D2WXrUj3a8NqM%26so_medium%3DTalent%26so_source%3DTalentApi","link":"https://stackoverflow.com/jobs/545545/sr-software-developer-engineer-in-test-r11255-chewy-inc?a=2WXrUj3a8NqM&so_medium=Talent&so_source=TalentApi","categories":["automation","testing","java","junit","tdd"],"companyLogo":"chewy-inc.png","isoDate":"2021-08-26T23:19:10.000Z","author":{"name":["Chewy, Inc."]},"country":"United States of America"}},"pageContext":{"guid":"545545"}},
